I am looking for a “dream” team that I can help to bring value to their practice.

If you are part of that team, we will work together to help to build a better private practice that is more fun and profitable for you and that is structured so that it will be worth something when you decide to retire.

 

The first thing we do is to create a strategic plan to bring structure in to the service that you are offering.

This involves an initial telephone call and there is no charge for this and it takes about 45-60 minutes for us to do this together.

We will talk about how to organise your patient pathway and what areas to focus on to deliver a consistently better service to your patients.  

At the end of this initial planning session one of two things will happen:

  1. You love the plan and decide to implement it on your own.  If this is the case, I’ll wish you the best of luck and ask that you keep in touch with me to let me know how you’re doing.
  2. You love the plan and ask to join my Private Consulting Class so we can work together to execute, maximise and profit from it ASAP.  If that’s the case, we will work together to ensure that you are constantly improving and building your private practice, not just going to work every day!

The “worst” that can happen is that we have a good chat.

The best that can happen is we work together to build a practice that is really worth something.

 

Here’s how it will work:

First, we get on the phone and go over your practice.

I take a look at what you have, what you are doing and what you want to achieve going forward.

Once we have those “raw materials”, we come up with a strategic plan of action to immediately improve your practice dramatically.

There are a number of ways we might do this.

For example, I might show you how to make sure every call in to your office is answered – do you know how many calls you miss? Or how to follow up effectively on each and every enquiry. There is no point in going any further until you have got these basics right.  We could also look at how to get online reviews or how to get a ‘wow’ from your patients that sets you apart from everyone else.

If you have a database of contacts (patients and GPs), then we can put together something that you can run within a few days to raise awareness and start the ball rolling.

And there’s no charge for this.

So Why Would I Offer It?

Two reasons:

First of all, I enjoy it.   I have enjoyed growing my own practice and I have found that a lot of the things that I have learned about building a business is completely alien to most doctors.  In just a short conversation with most doctors, I see some glaring areas where they are letting their patients down.  I enjoy working with other doctors to help build their practices and I enjoy seeing the results that it can bring, both financially and psychologically by developing a more caring practice, which then leads to a less stressful interaction with patients. 

Secondly, I think that we, as fully trained specialists, often let patients down by not getting our message out enough and by not giving the same level of attention and thought to the whole patient process that we give to the clinical care. 

I have found the development of my business to be fascinating and I know that it is a continuous process because I am still tweaking and improving in my own practice. 

This is a way for me to bring together a like-minded group of doctors who I can help to build their practice on a long-term basis.

Here’s how that works:

Assuming that you’re happy and you want to continue working together so that we can make plans and I can hold you accountable to them and help you to implement them.

Then, I will invite you to join the Private Consulting Class.

The “fee” is £800 a month… but if you think about it, it really doesn’t “cost” you anything.

Why?

Because I expect to make you much more than £800 in the first month.

Actually, I can give you a plan to make more than £800 during our first conversation – which is free!

So you’ll see the value by the time we hang up the phone without ever spending a penny.

And look. If you don’t want to become a client, don’t worry about it. You won’t get any sales pitch or pressure from me of any kind, ever.

 

For some reason doctors can be quite secretive about their private practice.

I don’t know why that is, but perhaps it is because they are worried that their competitors will learn their secrets.

I am different for two reasons

  • Firstly, I do not want to build a massive empire for myself and am happy if others are as successful as me.  I have a family life and I am comfortable with the amount of work I am doing at the moment (in fact, I now have other surgeons working with me in my clinic and I would like to do less operating).
  • Secondly, I have realised that THERE IS NO SECRET to building your practice.  If you are waiting for me to tell you something that will transform your practice overnight – you may be disappointed. It is the consistent and sustained application of good honest hard work.  The important thing is knowing what to focus on and to be able to maintain attention and motivation.

That is where I come in.  We will form a plan together and I will hold you accountable to make sustained and positive actions to move you towards your goals.

 

We are all constantly striving to improve our practices, but doctors tend not to look at some of the basic areas where they can make immediate changes and produce massive improvements in patient satisfaction.  Most are too busy caught up in the nuances of the speciality rather than all of the other 'stuff' that goes on.  If you have ever been a patient yourself, you will realise how important small things can be.  Whether it is how you are greeted when you walk in to the hospital, or the manner of the nurse when she is admitting you.  It is the small things where you can really set your practice apart.

This Is NOT For Everybody.
Here’s Who I CAN Help:

I’ve got a strict (but reasonable) set of criteria that needs to be met in order for us to proceed.

Here it is:

1.  You have to have a solid private practice already.

This offer is for people with an established private practice and simply want to build on it and grow their reputation.

You must have the capacity to deal with extra patients and also the time and energy to put effort in to the development of your business.

You need to hold or have held a substantive NHS consultant post.  I won’t work with new consultants, or anyone thinking of starting out in private practice.  It simply wouldn’t be worth our whiles.

 2.   You must have a database

It doesn’t matter how big it is, but you need to have a list of your previous patients and enquiries as well as details of your patient’s GP’s. 

3.    You must be a good solid doctor with a good reputation.

Everything we do together will not only be bringing you more work and ultimately greater profits, but we’ll be doing it in a way that creates MASSIVE goodwill in your market.

And in order for us to do that, you need to have your act together

Everything that we do presupposes that you are fully trained and qualified to be doing the procedures that you are doing.

4.   You MUST follow directions. (Don’t worry, I won’t ask you to do anything weird.)

After all, if you don’t actually implement the stuff, neither one of us will get anywhere.

That’s it! 

Here’s What Happens Next

Here’s how the process works:

First, you’ll need to fill in an application.  Don’t worry, it’s simple and unobtrusive.

I just need to know where you are with your practice and get an idea of what you want to accomplish.

 

Here’s What Will Happen After That

Once I have your application, Sally, Laura or Nicola from my office will call you and set up a time for us to talk.

We will be contacting you in about 48 business hours at the most.

Our initial call will be between 45 and 60 minutes.

This is where we really being working to figure out exactly what you want … and how to make it happen.

I will review your goals, your current practice and so forth …and I’ll deliver a plan to add value to your practice immediately.

If you see the value in becoming a high level client, great! We can talk about it.

And if you don’t want to become a client – that’s OK too.  No biggie.

 

WARNING – TIME IS A FACTOR

This opportunity is extremely limited because of the intense one-on-one time needed in order to provide you with results.

Therefore it is physically impossible for me to work with more than a handful of people.

I also don't want there to be any conflicts in the group, so will only take one person from each geographical area.

So with that said, know that the window of opportunity won’t be open for long.

Like I said earlier, our first conversation together is free and it will be around an hour or so.

On that conversation we will talk about where you are now and where you want to be.

During that call, I’ll give you some steps to take immediately for fast results.

You get that first call regardless of whether or not you join the Group.

Now – if you DO join the Class, were going to immediately schedule a follow up call.

On that follow up call, we’re going to come up with two things:

From that point forward, two things will happen:

A: We’ll speak every two weeks on the phone, monitoring your progress and tweaking where needed.

B: We’ll stay in CONSTANT COMMUNICATION by email.

This way, I can see what you’re doing and help you keep the momentum going between calls.

I can review your progress, keep an eye on your numbers, and help with you marketing messages.

The bottom line is – we’re getting it done, constantly.

Always building momentum and seeing constant improvement.

The second "thing" you get is LIVE MEETINGS every quarter.

These meetings are held in my clinic in Edgbaston in Birmingham where we can work together in a closed high-focus environment.

This is why these meetings are important:

1. We are able to physically sit in the same room and share ideas and strategies about what is working (and what is not).  There is no point in re-inventing the wheel, and you can avoid a lot of hassle (and expense) by listening to and learning from others.  We will discuss your practice specifically - it will not be a generic chat about ideas and suggestions.  We will focus on what is important to you and make plans that you can implement.

2. You will be getting help and support from like-minded colleagues.  All too often, private practice is seen as being less worthy than NHS practice and almost something to be ashamed of.  There is frequently little help or support and it is easy to feel isolated.  United we are stronger and it can make everything a lot less stressful and more enjoyable when you have company on your journey.

As much as I’d like to work with “everyone”, I simply can’t accept more than a handful of consultants and still maintain the same level of service you NEED in order to get the results you want.
